Talented Students Receive a Standing Ovation!

South Essex Colleges Group’s Performance students entertain at the AOC conference in Birmingham.

South Essex Colleges Group students were selected to perform as part of the Association of Colleges conference in Birmingham. The AOC conference was in celebration of colleges throughout the UK and their students' achievements.

Dimensions Dance and the musical theatre students had the honour of performing to a captivated audience and ended with a standing ovation. Head of School Creative and Performing Arts, Emily Balls said: "The students were true professionals, and it was such an amazing opportunity for them. They certainly made us proud and represented SECG to the highest standard. We had so many compliments from members at the conference which was wonderful to hear.”

Principals John Newton and Nicki Kelly were also in attendance for the conference, as was Deputy Principal Curriculum and Quality Adam Fahey, who said: “It was a proud moment to see South Essex's finest young performers at such a prestigious national event. The work that SECG Performing Arts students and staff produce every year is of exceptional quality and they truly deserved to showcase their talents on a wider stage.”
