Information for Schools & Colleges

At South Essex College, we aim to provide the best information about our courses and what we can offer students on their Post 16 Journey to schools across Essex. We have various different ways to provide this. See information below to find out about some of the ways we can aid your students in their decisions for the future.

School visits & presentations

We have a team of staff at the college who are available to come out to your school/sixth form to take part in careers events, industry days, mock interview days, college information evenings and give presentations to students about their post-16 journey. We are happy to do this in person or virtually depending on your requirements.

Taster Days

If you are looking to give your students a taster of college life, how about booking one of our taster days? These are designed to give students a better understanding of the path they would like to take after finishing their GCSEs. We also provide taster days for higher education degrees, HNCs and HNDs.

Information & guidance days for schools and council IAG staff

We welcome IAG council staff and staff from schools to the college to find out about current information on the changes in the curriculum, applications process, influencing government initiatives and much more. These sessions usually last around two hours and can also include tours to specific campuses or a relevant subject area. Sessions are also lead by requirements of those who are attending.

Career Pathways

Our career pathways have been put together as a tool for students to use when exploring careers available in their chosen subject path. These useful guides are there to help students decide their next steps and can be downloaded by clicking on the links below.
