Digital Talent Celebrated at Centre for Digital Technologies in Basildon

T-Level Graduates Honoured for Excellence and Innovation at Inspiring Celebration Event

South Essex Colleges Group (SECG) proudly celebrated the achievements of its Year 2 T-Level students in Digital Support Services and Digital Production, Design and Development with a vibrant and inspiring event at the Centre for Digital Technologies in Basildon.

The celebration marked a major milestone for students who have successfully completed their two-year T-Level journey—programmes designed to combine academic excellence with hands-on industry experience. The event brought together staff, families, and industry partners to recognise the exceptional growth, dedication and hard work of the learners.

A key highlight of the event was the presentation of Special Recognition Awards, acknowledging students who had gone above and beyond in their commitment, resilience, and overall performance.
Special Recognition Award Recipients were:

T-Level Digital Support Services

  • Artem Yehorov
  • Alex Bamsey
  • Orson Robinson

T-Level Digital Production, Design and Development

•    Joseph Whall
•    Marli Brown
•    Ryan Langford

John Newton, Principal of Basildon College, commended the students: “I want to say a big thanks to our students for their engagement and making this project such a huge success. I have seen their confidence grow immeasurably over the last two years and it is an inspiration.”

David Jaffa, guest speaker and key supporter of the T-Level programme, reflected on the milestone: “SECG is the first further education college in the country that has completed this programme and the event was emotional for me. It is great to see that it has made an impact.”

Industry mentor Bilal Fawaz echoed these sentiments: “This project has given these young people an eye-opening insight into what it is like to work in the real world.”

Launched to bridge the gap between education and employment, T-Level qualifications provide students with the skills, knowledge and industry placements needed to thrive in the modern digital sector. The success of this year’s cohort not only showcases the value of the T-Level initiative, but also underlines SECG’s commitment to student excellence and future-readiness.

Congratulations to all of our students for their outstanding achievements. We look forward to seeing them continue to grow as they take their next steps into higher education, apprenticeships, or careers in the digital industry.
