South Essex College Group has recognised its many winners of the Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Awards.

South Essex College Group has recognised its many winners of the Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Awards during the Spring and Summer Terms.

Twenty eight deserving winners have been recognised for their outstanding achievements. The winners won £300 to spend on a college project of their choice. This has included, trips, books, guest speakers and equipment for students to use that they wouldn’t usually have access to.

Simon Lofting, Lecturer from Luckyn Lane Campus, was the winner of our Leader Award for his support and commitment to the college and the students that he works with. Simon received a grant of £1000 that he spent on a group trip to London in February where they participated in a Thames Rockets speed boat ride and lunch. 

Winners from 2022 Simon Lofting, Holly Naylor, Andrew Cooke and Jacob Morgan were all recognised for their achievements during the Southend Awards Presentation Evening.
The next round of Achievement awards and Leader awards will be open for nominations in September.
