National Careers Week set to be a virtual success

South Essex College and University Centre South Essex will be celebrating the diverse range of careers and opportunities in the South East with National Careers Week.

National Careers Week (NCW) is a celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK running from the 1 March to 6 March. The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the student’s academic year and to help support young people leaving education.

Students on the further education programmes at South Essex College will be able to attend variety of online talks and workshops. They will have the opportunity to engage with employers, industry professionals and external partners and use the knowledge from industry leaders to help them explore their next steps and career choices.

Higher education students and graduates will be provided with interactive and informative workshops from graduate recruitment specialists and HE career leaders to develop their employability skills and career planning.

Sally Webb, Careers Manager for Further and Higher Education, said: “National Careers Week has got off to a flying start and the careers team at South Essex College are excited for what the week has in store for our students. We have a wide range of guest speakers from many different industry areas helping students to develop their core skills and support them into their career paths.

We hope that everyone is able to benefit from the week and welcome all tutors and students to be able to take part.”
