Colleges Week 2020 - growing and supporting individual sectors

South Essex College is supporting Colleges Week this week. Today’s theme is all about how colleges grow and support individual sectors. South Essex College offers a great deal of specialised engineering and construction provision, training young people to join skilled UK workforces in these sectors.

The college’s Centre for Advanced Engineering at Luckyn Lane in Basildon is holding a virtual open event this evening. The centre offers a variety of courses and apprenticeships in specialisms such as electrical engineering, plumbing, building services, maritime engineering and carpentry

At this virtual event, interested applicants and parents will be able to find out everything they want to know about the further education courses offered at this campus. Attendees will be able to explore facilities with a 360-degree virtual tour, talk to course tutors and ask questions about the courses offered plus find out more about funding, additional learning support and how to apply.

With jobs in construction and engineering predicted to rise, start your career in this sector today by
