A-Level case study: Mitchell Benjamin

Mitchell is going to pursue his journalism dreams after achieving his A-Level results.

Mitchell, 18, from Westcliff, studied English Literature, Photography and History at South Essex College. He has now secured a place at Southampton Solent University to study Fashion Journalism.

He said: “I’m really content, it’s great I got the grades to go to the university of my choice. I want to eventually work in music journalism and write for magazines like Rolling Stone. I’m really interested in music fashion sub-cultures, grime is the new punk!”

Mitchell settled well into sixth form life at the College. After previously living in Newcastle and Israel for periods of time, he adapted quickly. He added: “I learn new things quickly, I had to learn a whole new language when living out of the country so I’ve definitely used that skill in my education.”
