South Essex Colleges Group features in new MONOPOLY: Southend-on-Sea Edition

South Essex Colleges Group is celebrating its place on the brand-new MONOPOLY: Southend-on-Sea Edition, which features Southend City College. The new edition has been unveiled as part of a major city-wide launch.
The official ‘Big Reveal’ took place at Palace Theatre, marking the arrival of the Southend-themed version of the world’s most famous board game in time for Easter 2026.
The new edition showcases more than 30 of the city’s most recognisable landmarks and organisations, celebrating the people, places and institutions that make Southend-on-Sea unique. Among them is South Essex Colleges Group, recognised for its vital role in education, skills and workforce development across the region.
The board features iconic locations including Southend Pier, Cliffs Pavilion and the Cliff Lift, alongside a diverse mix of community organisations, charities and local businesses.

Ben Ladd Gibbon of Winning Moves UK, the official producer of the game under license from Hasbro, said: “The board is a celebration of everything Southend-on-Sea. We were spoilt for choice when it came to selecting the organisations and landmarks that truly represent the city.”
The MONOPOLY: Southend-on-Sea Edition also includes locally inspired features, such as customised Chance and Community Chest cards and highlights local charities including HARP and Gold Geese.
The game is now available in stores and online, offering residents, students and visitors the chance to experience Southend in a fun and interactive way.
