South Essex Colleges Group delighted to continue Hydrogen Safety partnership for third consecutive year

South Essex Colleges Group (SECG) is delighted to continue its partnership with Hydrogen Safe for a third consecutive year, supporting businesses and learners across the region to develop vital skills in hydrogen safety and the transition to clean energy.

The latest programme, made possible through funding from Thames Freeport’s Skills Accelerator, will provide fully funded hydrogen safety training for up to 150 learners, helping to equip the workforce with the specialist knowledge and skills needed to support the UK’s growing clean energy sector.

Our continued collaboration with Hydrogen Safe reflects a shared commitment to developing the skills that businesses need as the UK moves towards a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

This year’s programme builds on the success of previous years, when Hydrogen Safe delivered specialist training to engineering apprentices and college staff. For the first time, the opportunity is being extended more widely to businesses and individuals across the region, creating an even greater opportunity to develop industry-relevant hydrogen safety expertise.

From September, successful applicants will be able to access a range of industry-recognised qualifications, courses and e-learning modules in hydrogen safety, completely free of charge.

Anyone with a postcode in the South East is eligible to express their interest in the programme.
