Rhianna Sings To Win
South Essex Colleges Group, Level 3, Year 1, Musical Theatre student, Rhianna Umpleby has won a prestigious award at the South East Entertainment Awards held at Grays Civic Hall.
Rhianna, 16, from Basildon won the award for the Best Young Breakthrough Artist by singing ‘She’s all I Wanna Be’ by Tate McRae and will be going on to perform at the Indigo at the O2 later this year.
The competition is part of the National Entertainment Awards and Rhianna expressed her surprise at winning.
She said: “I was really shocked to win as I was not expecting it at all. It is an amazing feeling.
“I am really enjoying my course, everyone I so supportive as we all have the same dream. The tutors are really supportive and know exactly the help we need.”
Rhianna’s dream is to perform in the Westend as a singer, dancer and actor.
