Kitchen Furniture donated by Magnet Kitchens

Basildon College’s Stephenson Road campus has received a generous donation of kitchen furniture from Magnet Kitchens.
The donation will benefit students studying Level 2 Carpentry at Basildon College, providing them with hands-on opportunities to practise kitchen fitting and installation with products similar to those they will in their future careers.
The kitchen displays will be incorporated into practical lessons, helping our learners build the technical skills, knowledge and confidence needed for careers in the construction industry.
The donation builds on an existing relationship between Basildon College and Magnet Kitchens, who have previously supported students through donations of materials and engagement with learners via guest speaker sessions.

Ian Smith, Head of School – Construction Trades and Motor Vehicles at Basildon College said: “We are extremely grateful to Magnet Kitchens for their generous donation of kitchen displays. This support not only enhances our learning environment but also provides our students with invaluable, industry-standard resources.
The new displays will enable learners to develop practical skills in a realistic setting, better preparing them for successful careers in the sector. This partnership demonstrates Magnet’s commitment to education and community. We look forward to seeing the positive impact on our department and students.”
A spokesperson from Magnet Kitchens said: “At Magnet, we see first-hand the vital role skilled tradespeople play in our society.
