Employers to attend open event
South Essex College is holding an open event at its Luckyn Lane Campus in Basildon on Wednesday 11 March.
The event, from 5-8pm, will give young people the opportunity to look around the specialised engineering and construction site and talk to tutors about their course options.
Employers will be attending the event to speak to potential students and inform them about career opportunities in engineering and construction. Staff from BIKBBI (British Institute of Kitchens Bedrooms and Bathrooms), Britvic, P&G, Morgan Sindall and Honeywell will be in attendance.
Calley Page, Employer Engagement Manager, said: “Students will have the opportunity to meet and hear from industry experts. The employers attending are committed to sharing their expertise, discussions with students may even lead to apprenticeships or work experience opportunities being offered.”
The event offers the perfect occasion for applicants to check out the fantastic facilities, meet course tutors, get careers advice and receive information on finance and funding.
Students can study various engineering and construction qualifications at the Luckyn Lane Campus including plumbing, electrical engineering and functional skills.
