eFIXX College Connections Roadshow

Inspiring the next generation of electricians at Thurrock College

We’re proud to have hosted the first stop of the 2025 eFIXX College Connections Roadshow at Thurrock College! This proved to be an exciting day filled with valuable learning and hands-on experience for our Level 1 and Level 2 Electrical Installations students. 

The event kicked off with an inspiring keynote by eFIXX co-founder Gary Hayers, titled ‘Making the most of your opportunity in the electrical industry.’ His talk encouraged learners to think about how they can access free training, stand out and succeed in this fast-moving sector. 

Students then took part in interactive workshops led by industry professionals covering key topics, including:  

• Ring Final Insulation Resistance & Continuity Testing 
• Introduction On Safe Isolation 
• Wireless Lighting 
• Masterclass on fixings, cables, and tooling 

The sessions gave learners the opportunity to develop practical skills, build confidence and explore the latest tools and techniques of the industry.
