If you haven't yet secured a place at university or college for the 2018/19 academic year, you can now apply through the UCAS Clearing system.
If you haven't yet secured a place at university or college for the coming academic year, you can apply through the UCAS Clearing system. Clearing begins on 1 July 2018 and can help you find vacancies on Higher Education courses if your preferred course was oversubscribed or if you did not get the necessary grades. Please follow information provided by the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).
Clearing can be a difficult time for applicants and parents but remember you are not alone. Over 30,000 applicants a year secure a higher education place through Clearing, so if you’re willing to be flexible and you have reasonable exam results, there is still a good chance you will find another course. The most important thing is - don't panic!
If you have not yet applied to UCAS and are only just considering a course, you are not too late to apply for 2018 entry. You have until the end of September 2018. Please apply directly at www.ucas.com/clearing, quoting the institution code S43 South Essex College, where you will be able to view our wide range of courses still available throughout the summer.
You are eligible for Clearing if you have already applied in the current application year and if:
