SafeGuard Clothing donates equipment to benefit Public Services students

South Essex College is pleased to announce a recent donation from international body armour manufacturer and distributor SafeGuard Clothing.
The brand has gifted one of its premium bulletproof vests for demonstrations on the importance of safety and protecting the lives of law enforcement and military operatives.
This will enhance the teaching experience for students enrolled in the college’s Public Service course, allowing them to receive and benefit from a deeper understanding of the working mechanics behind the design and structure of tactical armour.
SafeGuard Clothing Communications Manager Thomas Bowman said: "We have made it a priority to partner with local colleges such as South Essex College to assist their students in understanding how protection against knives and guns works and better prepare them for the line of work they have chosen.
“We work very hard to implement an applied industry-based model in our manufacturing process; our continuing and strong collaborations with the Police, MOD, Fire Service and Ambulance services have really enhanced the quality of our tactical vests.” says SafeGuard Clothing Communications Manager Thomas Bowman.
Partnerships with industry leader like SafeGuard are greatly beneficial to our students as they provide access to the field's best practices as well as proven expertise and technology advancement to enhance their learning experience. The use of the brand's bullet proof vest in our Public Service course allows for a practical demonstration of the working mechanics behind staying safe in the line of work that involves daily risks.
The donation will give students a deeper understanding of the working mechanics of bullet proof vests. SafeGuard’s bulletproof vest will be used for role play and technical analysis to improve the quality of the Public Service programme and educational practices at South Essex College.
