Students put on fang-tastic show at spook event

Performing Arts students at South Essex College took part in Barleylands’ Spooky Nights event at the weekend.

The Level 2 students, who study at the College’s Southend Campus, got into the Halloween spirit at the farm donning spooky and fun themed costumes.

The group entertained visitors to the event as they made their way around the Halloween themed farm and also spooked those brave enough to take on the barn of horrors!

Level 2 Performing Arts (Acting) Course Leader Jay Clinton said the students put on a spook-tacular show.

He said: “The students really got into the spirit of the event and injected ghoulish life into their characters.

“Having the opportunity to perform at a real life event is a great way for the students to showcase their talents and put what they have learnt into practice.”

The College was approached by Princess Gatherings, the company which organised actors for the event.

EvaCukelj, from Princess Gatherings said the students were fantastic.

She said: "I was very impressed on how professional they all were from the start to the end. They were given different characters to portray and we received lots of amazing feedback. Thank you again and we look forward to working with the students again soon."
