Students get hands on to learn lifesaving skills

A group of Level 3 Health and Social Care students at South Essex College's Thurrock Campus were treated to a demonstration of CPR and a talk about being a paramedic.

Lauren Bartle and Jordan McNeill, Paramedic Science degree students from Anglia Ruskin, showed a video about becoming a paramedic and demonstrated how to deal with an unresponsive patient. The group then took turns to simulate resuscitating the manikin.

Tutor Katie Colman said: “This has been a great opportunity for our students to see what being a paramedic entails.”
