Students check-in for careers discovery at airport
Aviation and cabin crew students at South Essex College visited Stansted airport to learn about the industry.
The group of students, who study at the college’s Southend Campus, visited the Aerozone educational centre where they heard from representatives in marketing, Jet2, security, and intern students.
The talks allowed them to find out more about the different roles in the aviation industry to help them prepare for the world of work.
They also had the opportunity to visit the viewing area close to the runway to watch aircraft take off and land.
Wendy Wooster, Student Manager, said the trip was an invaluable experience.
She said: “The talks allowed the students to think about what area they would like to get into and find out more about some of the different aspects of aviation.
“Visits such as this to a real environment really enhance our students’ learning.”
