South Essex Colleges Group Students Celebrate Their Results

South Essex Colleges Group students celebrated their amazing results at our colleges in Basildon, Southend and Thurrock.

At Southend City College, students were congratulated on their success by David Burton-Sampson, the Labour MP for Southend West and Leigh.

Mr Burton-Sampson said: “Congratulations to those young people receiving their GCSE, Level 1 & 2 and Level 1/2 vocational results.

“It was a great pleasure to be present and see students receiving their results at South Essex Colleges Group. I wish all of them every success in the future.”

Amongst the students celebrating was Daniel Phillips who achieved Triple D*. He said: “I am really excited to have gotten such a great result. I am going to university to study Biological Sciences.”

Southend City College Principal, Nicki Kelly said: “I am extremely proud of our students who have achieved some excellent results, it just shows the hard work and commitment these learners have had does pay off, and will enable them to progress to their next step in their lives. Well done to everyone."

John Newton, Principal at Basildon College said: “I would like to congratulate all our learners on their results which reflect their commitment and dedication. I wish all our learners every success and send a massive thank you to all our staff for their outstanding effort and work.”

Thurrock College Principal Brad Brooks said: “We are so proud of all of our learners. Every learner has their own story and it is truly inspiring to see them achieve the grades they have worked so hard for.”
