South Essex Colleges Group Donates Equipment to Help Save Abandoned Cats & Kittens

Following the closure of the Animal Care Department at Southend City College, College Principal, Nicki Kelly kindly agreed to donate two large Aviaries to Health Lecturer, Claire Hopkinson who is using them to rescue abandoned cats and kittens.

Claire is a member of Tilly’s Angels, an Essex based organisation that rescues and helps to locate animals. At present, Claire is caring for three kittens; sisters Cagney and Lacey and a male kitten named Buttons. The kittens have all been rescued by Tilly’s Angels in conjunction with the RSPCA and are currently looking to be rehomed as soon as possible to enable Claire to accommodate more kittens at risk.

Claire said: “I would like to thank Southend City College and in particular, Nicki Kelly for this generous donation and would ask that anyone interested in adopting any of these lovely natured kittens, to contact Tilly’s Angels via Facebook.”
