Hollywood glamour comes to Thurrock

Hair Professionals apprentices and Hair & Media Make-up students at South Essex College collaborated to prepare models for a vintage Ocsars-themed photoshoot.

The eight apprentices researched the theme, chose their models, picked outfits, styled hair and then got together with the Hair & Media Make-up students to produce the red carpet looks.

Lecturer Hari Cole said: “Everyone involved gets a taster of what it is like to be a stylist on a photoshoot which helps prepare them for their future careers in the hair and beauty industry."

The resulting photographs will be used at an event on 14 May, when the apprentices will present their work to their employers, family and friends.

The Hair & Media Makeup students used the day to add their work experience.

Apprentice, Harry Morrison said: “None of us has ever done anything like this before. It has really boosted our confidence and shown us what is like to work on a professional photoshoot.”
