Graphic Design students showcase their work

Graphic Design students at South Essex College are holding an exhibition of their work in Southend.

The showcase is being held in the Campus Gallery, on the first floor of the College’s Luker Road site until 26 April, which includes work from three units of the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma Graphic Design programme: graphic illustration, graphics for packaging and typography.

Works include posters created by the students who took part in a Royal Opera House Design Challenge national competition to design a marketing strategy to promote its upcoming Romeo & Juliet ballet, vinyl record cover designs, and typography pieces.

Programme Leader Astra Achong said: “The exhibition is a fantastic opportunity for the students to showcase their talents, to work as a team and to have the experience of organising a group exhibition including the production of marketing materials.”

The exhibition is free to attend and runs until Friday 26 April.
