Fashion students showcase work in style
Fashion students at South Essex College saw their creations take to the catwalk in their end of year show.
The group held the event as part of their ‘curating an exhibition unit’ to showcase their creations and raise money for charity at the same time.
Students all had roles such as show manager, head of dressing rooms, model managers, makeup and photography.
The show, held at the Beecroft Gallery in Southend, was a truly collaborative event as Illustration, Print Media, Fine Art, and Level 4 Foundation students came together to model the clothes while beauty students completed the look with hair and makeup treatments.
TV & Film and photography students were also on hand to capture the event.
Megan Brophy, Curriculum Head, Design & Fine Art, said it was a ‘stunning’ showcase.
She said: “The students have done incredibly well to organise the fashion show, working successfully together to produce a professional and entertaining performance. The show looked fantastic. We wish our students all the luck in the future.”
The group also held a raffle at the event which raised more than £630 for Cancer Research UK.
