A-Level case study: Macy Hallam

The world of publishing and literature is gaining a rising star in the shape of Macy Hallam, 18 from Southchurch.
Thanks to a fantastic set of A-Level results, Macy has secured a place at Oxford Brookes University to study for a degree in Publishing and Literature.
Having left Cecil Jones, Macy studied Communications and Culture, Fine Art and English Literature for which she achieved two Bs and a C respectively.
A delighted Macy said: “I had a great time at the College. The teachers were really supportive so you get a good sense of independence whilst being supported which allows you to work in a way that is best suited to you.”
Macy said that she is really excited to be studying in Oxford and wants to eventually secure a career in editing at a publishing house.
