Results day 2019 - Ellen Houghton

BTEC student Ellen has been at South Essex College for four years and her hard work and determination in resulted in her achieving a BTEC in Graphic Design with two distinctions and a merit.

Ellen’s success is all the more noteworthy bas she has had to overcome a severe hearing impairment.

She said: “ I have not let my hearing impairment get in the way of my studies at all. The tutors have been so supportive, I have been given all the help I need and I am going to miss everyone so much.. I would encourage anyone, especially if they feel that something is holding them back to come to the college. I wouldn’t change my time here for the world.
