Graduation 2018: Melody Fisher

Melody Fisher is already well on her way to career success by establishing her own photography business.

The BA (Hons) Photography graduate set up www.MelodyFisherPhotography.co.uk after finishing her course and is already fully booked for this year.

The self-employed 21-year-old covers everything from weddings, to portraits and commercial work.

Melody, from Southend, said: “I’m building up my client base through word of mouth and it’s really taken off. I wanted to have my own business as I like being independent.

“The degree course gave me a lot more confidence, I was already a keen photographer but the programme teaches you a lot of industry knowledge. It gave me insights into things I hadn’t thought about like insurance and how to set myself up as freelancer.”
