We know that deciding what to study when you leave school can be daunting especially when you haven’t studied something before. This is why we are introducing a range of school holiday sessions for years 10 and 11 students to give you a taste of your potential next step.

“I wanna be” workshops are open to anyone and will be running for the first time during February half-term 2020.

There are lots to choose from including; hairdressing, animal care, motor vehicle, catering and engineering. To see all our "I wanna be" workshops, click here.

Who can come along?

Year 10 and 11 students.

How much do they cost?

Sessions are free of charge and we can cater for up to 20 people per session.

What do I need to bring?

All you need to bring is a packed lunch, a pen and paper. All other resources will be provided on the day.

What happens at the sessions?

Sessions will run between 10am and 2pm.

Depending on the subject area, during the first hour or so you will be given an overview of the topic and what our courses include. Then you’ll have a short break for lunch and a chance to chat to the tutor and other interested young people.

The final hour or two will be a hands on practice session for you to get a flavour of what you’d be studying if you decided to embark on a course in this area.
