Overview
This course represents the start of training to becoming a qualified counsellor.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be able to show they can study at the required level and attend an entrance interview to determine suitability for the course against CPCAB candidate entry requirements, details of which can be found here: http://www.cpcab.co.uk/qualifications/.
Course Structure
The Counselling Skills programme centres around developing effective and reflective communication skills. The course centres around deconstructing our normal patterns of relating in order to develop the required skills to centre another individuals frame of reference. This course will also engage the candidate in self-awareness and personal reflection through experiential and self awareness.
Assessment & Feedback
Assessment is through a range of techniques including essays, presentations, portfolios of evidence, case review, role play and exam.

What Next...
After successfully completing this course you could progress to the CPCAB Counselling Studies Level 3 Certificate Counselling Studies course. Subject to a satisfactory interview and written assessment.
