South Essex College 2050 Vision Information Event

Back before lockdown we invited you to a networking event at the college. The event’s purpose was to explore how the council can work in closer collaboration with South Essex College to meet the council’s 2050 vision. With the predicted numbers of young people and adults impacted by the pandemic, working collaboratively is even more important so we have decided to host the event virtually on 10 December 2020 and we’d be delighted if you could join us.

We know that the council is very connected to South Essex College at a strategic level so this event is aimed more at 2050 outcome leads.

The event will include a plenary overview session as well as virtual breakout rooms to look at topics including:

- Increasing access & participation into higher education – looking at how we can work together locally to support learners particularly focusing on mature, BAME learners and learners with additional learning needs

- Adult learners and upskilling – how we work together to support the economic recovery, engage business and improve outcomes for adults locally.

We are sorry that we are unable to provide a face-to-face event on this occasion but we felt it was important to continue with this event given the current situation we are all working in.
