Overview
An introduction to both business careers and travel careers at a level that allows learners to also improve on maths and English outcomes. Increases level 1 provision with good progression routes for both.
Travel is a growing industry and business is a very wide field of interest. This course may inspire learners into career opportunities they have not considered previously. We have established clase links with Southend airport, Ryan Air and jet 2 all of whom are willing to support career pathways both in travel and business and marketing. We also have the benefit of being near to City Airport and Tilbury cruises both of whom have welcomed our learners for careers events. Learners will cover units in Business and Travel which will give them an appreciation of the content that they may want to go onto study at Level 2.
Entry Requirements
4 GCSE grade 1 or 2 preferably to include maths and English
Course Structure
The course will encourage you to develop the practical skills and essential know-how required for today's rapidly expanding world of travel and tourism and Business You will have the opportunity to develop both general and specialist skills. You will complete projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.Travel and tourism units include:
- UK Travel Destinations
- Planning for a job in Travel and Tourism
- Customer Service in Travel and Tourism
- Planning for and taking part in a visit
Business Administration units include:
- Welcoming visitors
- Working in business administration
- Recording business transactions
- Working in a team
- Managing your health at work
You will also study in Maths and English.

What Next...
