Overview

Gain a level 2 qualification in just 6 weeks!

An online training course covering the safeguarding of people and how to recognise those who have been abused or radicalised. Subjects covered include reducing the risk of radicalisation, the government’s Prevent programme and the importance of safeguarding procedures.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must provide one of the following forms of identification:

• Valid in-date passport (any nationality)

• Signed in-date UK photocard driving licence

• UK biometric residence permit card

• Birth certificate (BUT, if a birth certificate is presented as proof of identification, an additional form of identification such as a signed bank card, utility bill or a letter issued by a government department must also be provided).

We regret that we cannot provide iStudy courses for free to individuals who reside in the following combined authorities: Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Greater Manchester, Liverpool City, North of Tyne, South Yorkshire, Tees Valley, West Midlands, West Yorkshire and West of England.

Course Structure

This course gives participants the opportunity to achieve the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Safeguarding & Prevent (60328186)

Subjects covered include:

• Understanding the Prevent Duty

• Understanding safeguarding

• Understanding online safety

Who is this course for?

Anyone who wants to develop their knowledge and skills for life or work and gain a nationally recognised qualification whilst doing so.

Studying Online.

Studying online requires good organisational skills – we recommend 2-3 hours study per night to ensure the course is completed within the 6 week timescale. As all our iStudy courses are completed online you will need to have access to an internet enabled desktop computer or laptop and an active email account. Please note these courses will not work on tablets or smartphones.

Additional information.

This course is fully funded (FREE) for anyone who is currently living in England, over the age of 19 and meets the current eligibility and entry criteria (this is occasionally subject to change).

Please note that we can only offer this course for free if it is completed within 6 weeks. If you start the course and do not complete within this time you will incur a £125 administration fee to cover the costs involved in your sign up. However, providing you do 2-3 hours study per night we are confident that you will complete within the 6 week timeframe.
