This course is an Award in TIG welding and is ideal for anyone who wants to become a welder and is new to welding including DIY enthusiasts.

This qualification is ideal if you wish to enter the industry or if you want to gain a welding, metal fabrication, thermal cutting or brazing and soldering qualification for your own personal skills development.

Course Structure

This unit is designed to enable applicants to demonstrate welding skills typically found in industry and associated undrpinning knowledge to a level that will enable them to complete welded joints in simple welding positions and prepare them for undertaking further qualifications at Level 1 and 2.

Learners are required to achieve a minimum of 7 credits from the mandatory unit - Tungsten Inert Gas Welding
