Overview
This qualification is designed for you to develop your knowledge and understanding of computer programming. If you have little or no experience and are considering a career in this field, this is a great way to start your journey.
This single unit qualification is designed for you to learn about the principles of computer programming to understand how
programming works. You will develop text-based programming skills to design and develop your own computer program.
Entry Requirements
- You will be expected to have a Level 1 English qualification and be confident using a computer.
- You do not need any previous IT qualifications, but you will need a logical mind and a very keen interest in computer coding in general.
Course Structure
- Know the basic principles of programming
- Be able to design a simple computer program in response to a client brief.
- Be able to develop the program using a graphic-based programming language.
- Be able to test, document and review the program.
Assessment & Feedback
You will be assessed using a range of methods such as practical tasks and written coursework that will culminate in a portfolio of evidence.
