HGV Driver Skills Bootcamp (Level 2)
Ever dreamed of gaining your LGV licence but worried about the cost? This fully funded, 15-week intensive Bootcamp is your chance to train, qualify, and step straight into full-time employment in an industry where skilled drivers are in high demand.
Across the programme, you’ll complete the DVSA medical, theory modules, reversing training, and practical on-road driving tests, with expert tuition every step of the way. You’ll attend theory masterclasses, practical reversing sessions, and on-road driver training in Thurrock and Basildon, ensuring you’re fully prepared for your tests.
By the end of the course, you’ll hold a DVSA LGV licence—a qualification that lasts a lifetime—and the skills to secure work as a professional driver in the logistics sector.

Duration: 15 weeks
Cost: Fully funded for unemployed adults aged 19+. Employer contributions available (30% for large companies, 10% for SMEs).

Assessment & Feedback
On this 15 week intensive course, you’ll be trained to a high standard, then you'll need to pass three DVSA theory tests, DVSA reversing and the DVSA on road practical exam.
5 Mondays for theory masterclasses, 2 days reversing training and test, 5 days of practical driver training and test.
The course is held at the Thurrock campus and Basildon for practical driving.
