- Understanding of the important of testing for all components (including software, hardware, data), interfaces and the resulting service.
- Understanding digital tools and their use in business
Entry Requirements
- Level 2 Qualification AND English and Math GCSE grade 4 or above
OR - GCSEs x 4 at grade 4/C, including ENGLISH and MATHS
Course Structure
Occupational specialism
This will focus on a digital production, design and development.
- Analyse a problem to define requirements and acceptance criteria aligned to user needs
- Design, implement and test software
- Change, maintain and support software
- Create solutions in a social and collaborative environment
- Discover, evaluate and apply reliable sources of knowledge
- Apply ethical principals and manage risks in line with legal and regulatory requirements when developing
software.
Industry placement:
Learners will develop practical and technical skills as part of an industry placement with an employer.
Placements will last for a minimum of 315 hours, They include regular progress review meetings to ensure students are getting the best experience possible.
