Results day 2019 - Mirian Emetuche

Mirian came to England three years ago from Nigeria and after attending Chase High School came to South Essex College to study A-Levels in Psychology, Biology and Chemistry.

Her amazing grades of an A and two Bs have secured her a coveted place at Nottingham University to study Medical Physiology and Therapeutics.

Mirian said: I have been very content at the college, the teachers have been really inspiring, I have made lots of friends for life. The support at the college and my religion got me through my studies and I feel that I have been allowed to have the freedom to study in a way that suits me and has allowed me to be independent.”

Ambitious Mirian wants to progress on after her degree to do a PHD and eventually work for a pharmaceutical company.
