Overview

Develop the skills, knowledge, and modelling by simulation experience needed to start a successful career in engineering or progress to university

This course provides a broad introduction to engineering, applying principles of modelling, simulation and/or prototyping, using appropriate software, to develop an appropriate design solution. It is aligned to the Engineering Manufacturing Technician occupational standard and prepares students for employment in the engineering sector or progression to higher-level study.

Entry Requirements

  • BTEC Level 3 qualification in Engineering or related subject
  • OR A Levels (preferably Maths/Science/Engineering)
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above
  • Access to Higher Education Diploma or relevant work experience
  • International equivalent qualifications accepted
