University Centre organise virtual degree open event

University Centre South Essex is offering a virtual higher education open event so interested future students can find out more about studying for a degree locally.

On Saturday 20 June, attendees can chat to lecturers and support staff between 11am-1pm. Get in touch to ask questions about courses, facilities, funding and the Centre in general.

The University Centre has campuses in Southend and Thurrock. It's the perfect choice if recent events have made students want to stay closer to home to study for a degree.

The Centre offers a wide range of BA and BSc (Hons) degrees in creative arts, media and social science subjects. The degrees are validated by top universities such as University of East Anglia and University of the Arts London.

Colin Bladen-Kopacz, Dean of HE, said: "You may not be able to visit us on campus right now, but we still want you to be able to access the information you need to help  you make an informed decision about your future.

“Our university experience offers smaller class sizes. We are confident that from September, courses will be taking a blended learning approach with every student getting some face to face time with their lecturer plus distance learning through sophisticated online study programmes.”
