From London 

Take a direct c2c service from London Fenchurch Street station to Basildon railway station. Journey time is typically around 35–40 minutes. Basildon station is on the London, Tilbury, and Southend line with frequent services throughout the day.  

From Grays and Thurrock

Direct c2c services connect Grays, Stanford-le-Hope, and other Thurrock stations with Basildon. Journey times range from approximately 10–25 minutes.

From Southend

Direct c2c services operate from Southend stations to Basildon, with journey times typically between 20 and 30 minutes depending on the service.

Basildon Bus Station is located adjacent to the town centre and is served by routes from across Essex, including services from Billericay, Wickford, Canvey Island, Grays, Brentwood, and surrounding areas. The college is only a short walk from the bus station.  

Popular bus routes serving Basildon Town Centre include:

  • Billericay: Bus route 100
  • Wickford: Bus routes 9, 10
  • Canvey Island: Bus route 21
  • Brentwood: Bus route 100
  • Grays: Bus route 100

Students should disembark at Basildon Bus Station or nearby town centre stops and follow signs towards College Way.

There is no parking available on the College grounds. However, there are lots of parking options around Basildon town centre. Basildon Council provides details of the car parks available. The most convenient options when visiting our Basildon Town Centre campus (Centre for Digital Technologies) are the Eastgate Shopping Centre car park and the Westgate multi-storey car park. If you are using a Sat Nav, please use postcode SS14 1DF.

From Chelmsford 

Travel by bus route 100 or by rail via Shenfield and Basildon. Journey times vary depending on connections, but typically take around 45–60 minutes. 

From Southend

Direct c2c services operate between Southend and Basildon, with journey times typically between 20 and 30 minutes depending on the service. From Basildon station, local bus services connect to the campus area.  

The campus is served by local bus routes with stops located approximately five minutes walk away.

There is no parking available on the College grounds. However, there are a number of parking options nearby. Luckyn Lane is located opposite Gloucester Park in Basildon and is just a five-minute walk from Pipps Hill Retail Park, which includes a large car park. Additional parking is available in Basildon town centre, approximately a 20-minute walk from the campus.

There are two convenient rail routes:

  • c2c services from London Fenchurch Street station to Leigh-on-Sea railway station (approximately 45–55 minutes).  
  • Greater Anglia services from London Liverpool Street station to Southend Victoria railway station (approximately 50–60 minutes), with a connecting bus service to the campus area.  

From Leigh-on-Sea station, the campus is approximately a 20-minute walk or a short bus journey.  

From Basildon 

Take a direct c2c service to Leigh-on-Sea railway station. Journey time is typically around 15–20 minutes. From the station, local bus services connect to the Progress Road and Stephenson Road area.

From Southend

From Southend Central station, travel one stop westbound on c2c services to Leigh-on-Sea railway station, or use local bus services serving Progress Road and the industrial estate area.

The campus is served by Southend's extensive bus network, with routes operating along Progress Road, Eastwood Road and surrounding areas. The campus is a short walk from nearby bus stops. Southend benefits from a comprehensive bus network connecting the town centre, Leigh-on-Sea, Rayleigh, Rochford and surrounding areas.  

Popular routes serving the area include:

  • Southend Town Centre: Bus routes 7, 8, 9
  • Leigh-on-Sea: Bus routes 7, 8
  • Rayleigh: Bus route 9
  • Rochford: Bus routes 8, 9
  • Basildon: Bus route X30 (connecting services)
  • Westcliff-on-Sea: Bus routes 7, 8

Students should disembark at stops on Progress Road, Eastwood Road North, or nearby industrial estate stops and follow signs towards Stephenson Road.

The Stephenson Road campus is located off Progress Road in Eastwood. There is a large car park on site, which is the most convenient parking option when visiting the campus. Students based at Stephenson Road who attend campus three or more days a week can apply for a parking permit for the car park. Subject to available spaces, parking can also be accommodated for apprentices and students visiting from other campuses, who would need to sign in at reception on arrival.
