Level 2 Diploma In Hairdressing

The Level 2 Diploma in Women’s and Men’s Hairdressing is the ideal starting point for school leavers who want to begin a career as a hairdresser or barber. 

This course provides a strong foundation for long‑term success in the hair industry, helping you build confidence, professional knowledge and practical skills as you take your first steps towards employment or further training. You will train in our modern, state‑of‑the‑art salons, using professional products and equipment while studying industry‑recognised units that reflect real salon practice. 

You will develop skills in health and safety, client consultation, shampooing and conditioning, promoting products and services, cutting and colouring women’s hair, cutting and styling men’s hair, and the art of dressing hair, alongside an understanding of how the hair industry operates. By the end of the course, you will have the skills and experience needed to progress onto further hairdressing qualifications or move into entry‑level employment within the industry.
