The Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector (Hair Pathway) Level 1 Certificate supports you to gain a basic understanding of the hair and beauty industry if you are just starting out. 

It is suitable if you are interested in hairdressing and want an introductory course that prepares you for further study or work within salon environments. During the course, you can explore the hair pathway through practical and industry‑focused activities. 

You will be introduced to how the hair and beauty sector operates, including presenting a professional image in the salon, carrying out reception duties and following health and safety procedures. Learning focuses on helping you understand salon expectations and professional behaviour.
