Course Overview
If you’re looking for a practical career with opportunities across a wide range of industries, our iLearn Forklift & Warehousing programme can help you take your first steps into the warehousing and logistics sector. This three-week, classroom-based pre-employment programme combines our iPrep training, designed to develop essential workplace and employability skills, with specialist training in warehouse operations and forklift driving.
You’ll develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to work safely and effectively in a warehouse environment, including training in the use of pump trucks, powered pallet trucks and counterbalance forklift trucks. You’ll also learn about key aspects of warehousing and material handling, while developing important workplace skills such as customer service, communication, health and safety, teamwork, personal development and conflict management.
A key benefit of the programme is the opportunity to gain an RTITB Counterbalance Forklift qualification, providing you with a recognised industry skill that can support your applications for forklift and warehouse roles. You’ll also gain a Certificate in Introduction to Warehousing, giving you a broader understanding of the sector and the day-to-day operations involved in moving, storing and distributing goods.
The skills gained can open up opportunities across a variety of industries, including retail, logistics, distribution, ports and airports, where skilled warehouse and material-handling staff are in demand. Whether you’re looking to start a new career, return to work or gain practical skills to improve your employment prospects, this course provides a valuable foundation for progressing into warehousing, forklift driving, logistics and wider supply chain careers.
