Entry Level 3 Construction Pathway

The Construction Pathway at Entry Level 3 is designed for learners who are interested in working in construction and want to build a strong starting point. It suits those who enjoy practical learning, want to develop their confidence, and are looking to gain a broad introduction to the construction environment before choosing a specific trade or next step. 

During the course, learners develop basic construction skills through hands‑on vocational sessions linked to their chosen pathway, helping them understand how jobs on site are carried out. Alongside practical work, the course supports the development of maths and English skills in a meaningful, work‑related way. Learners also build essential employability skills, such as teamwork, communication and reliability, which are useful in any job. 

Confidence and self‑esteem are a key focus, helping learners feel more comfortable in learning, working with others and preparing for the world of work. By the end of the course, learners will have a clearer understanding of construction as an industry and the skills needed to take part in it. Through links with the local community and a work placement, they gain experience of real working environments and expectations. 

This course provides a supportive stepping stone into further construction study, training, or an entry‑level role, helping learners move forward with greater confidence and direction. This course is delivered at our Stephenson Road campus.
