Looking ahead: a future in plumbing

Bowen plans to progress onto a Level 1 Plumbing course, building on the strong foundation they have developed during their Multi‑Skills studies. With their positive attitude, determination and commitment to continuous improvement, they are exceptionally well prepared for the next stage of their education and future career within the construction sector.

Reflecting on their achievement, Bowen said: “I’m 18 and from Basildon. I studied Level 1 Multi‑Skills at Thurrock. The hands‑on experience helped me decide what to do, and I really enjoyed it. Level 1 Plumbing is next for me. I feel very proud.”

Bowen’s professionalism, reliability and enthusiasm make them an outstanding ambassador for Thurrock College and a truly worthy Construction Student of the Year.
