Course Overview
The Applied Science with Technology Level 2 Certificate provides a practical and engaging introduction to science, making it ideal for learners who want to progress to further education or a career in a science‑related field. The course explores how science is applied in real‑world contexts, helping you build confidence, curiosity and essential laboratory skills.
You will study a variety of scientific topics, including biology, chemistry, environmental science and science in medicine, alongside specialist areas such as crime scene investigation and chemical analysis and detection. Learning is supported through practical activities and work experience, with Maths and English integrated throughout the programme. This course provides a strong foundation for progression to Level 3 science qualifications or further study.
You will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence including performance observation presentations, projects and assignments.
This course is free to UK learners under 19 who are not in employment.
