HGV Driver Skills Bootcamp (Thurrock & Basildon)

The HGV Driver Skills Bootcamp is designed for learners who want to gain their LGV licence and begin a career as a professional driver in the logistics and transport sector. Delivered at the Thurrock and Basildon campuses, this programme is ideal for those who are motivated to train intensively and move quickly into employment within a high‑demand industry. Delivered over 15 weeks, the bootcamp provides structured training that supports learners through every stage of the licensing process. Learners complete the required DVSA medical and theory modules before progressing to practical elements such as reversing manoeuvres and on‑road driving.

Training includes theory masterclasses, practical sessions and supported preparation for DVSA theory and driving tests, helping learners build confidence and driving competence. Practical training takes place across both Thurrock and Basildon, allowing learners to gain experience in realistic driving environments. Expert instruction is provided throughout the programme, ensuring learners understand professional driving standards, safety expectations and the responsibilities involved in working as an LGV driver.

By the end of the course, learners will have achieved a DVSA LGV licence and developed the skills needed to secure full‑time employment as a professional driver. This bootcamp provides a direct route into the logistics sector, supporting learners to take their first step into a long‑term driving career.
