Course Overview

The A-Level Computing Pathway is ideal for learners interested in careers such as software engineering, computer science, or computer games and animation. Delivered through the Academy of Advanced Technology, this pathway offers a forward focused curriculum designed to support progression into higher education and technical careers.

As part of this pathway, you will study A levels in Computer Science, Chemistry and Mathematics, developing strong analytical, programming and problem solving skills. Teaching combines academic study with practical work in industry standard computer suites, supported by state of the art facilities that reflect current and emerging technologies.

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above including Maths (Higher Paper) English Language and Science

Assessment and Feedback

You will be assessed by coursework, formal examinations and practical assessments.

This course is free to UK learners under 19 who are not in employment

Future study/career options

A Levels provide students with a traditional pathway to university and offer prospective employers the higher level qualifications they look for.
