Molly Scott

After making the life-changing decision to leave full-time employment and return to education, Molly Scott joined UCSE with a clear goal in mind: to pursue a career in teaching. What began with a visit to an open day quickly became the start of a transformative journey that would build her confidence, expand her knowledge and open the door to new opportunities.

Despite enrolling later than many of her peers, Molly embraced every aspect of university life with determination and enthusiasm. She excelled academically while becoming a passionate advocate for the student community, first as a Student Representative and later as Student Union President. Known for her positivity, leadership and willingness to support others, Molly played an important role in helping fellow students feel welcomed, heard and encouraged throughout their studies.

The course allowed Molly to deepen her understanding of Early Years Education, building on her existing knowledge and exploring the subject in greater depth. She credits the friendships she made and the supportive environment at UCSE as some of the most rewarding aspects of her university experience.

As she graduates and prepares to begin her teaching career, Molly reflects with pride on how far she has come. Speaking about her time at UCSE, she said:
