Reflecting on his journey, Emmet said:
“I first took an interest in being creative as my grandad loved opera. I chose to study at UCSE as it offered the skills I was looking to learn and it had close links with the Royal Opera and Ballet. My tutors were lovely and very knowledgeable and it was a privilege to have access to the resources of the Royal Opera and Ballet. I am currently working doing leather work but hope to become a bespoke tailor in the future.”
The course provided Emmet with valuable industry-focused experience, enabling him to develop a broad range of specialist skills while gaining insight from leading professionals in the sector. His dedication to mastering both traditional and contemporary techniques has already seen him secure work in leathercraft, while his ambitious goal of becoming a bespoke tailor remains firmly in sight.
Emmet's journey highlights the determination, creativity and craftsmanship that define many UCSE graduates. As he takes his next steps into the world of costume and tailoring, everyone at UCSE wishes him continued success in what promises to be an exciting and rewarding career.
