Stephen said: “I was very keen to visit South Essex Colleges Group to see the skills and talents of the apprentices. Apprenticeships are important because every successful business knows its most valuable asset is its staff. Apprenticeships are the perfect way for employers to see the potential in young workers and how they can excel in their business.”

Operations Director for Apprenticeships, Helen Sharpe gave Stephen a tour of the Luckyn Lane campus where they discussed the importance of Apprenticeship students and what Is on offer at the college. Helen said: “To have Stephen Metcalfe visit our facilities was a joy. At South Essex Colleges Group, we offer a wide variety of programmes including Apprenticeships, T Levels and Higher Education courses.  We have the ability to support everyone’s needs.”

Stephen concluded: “With the right level of training, the qualifications at the end of Apprenticeship are as valuable, if not more valuable to not just the apprentice but also the employer. To see South Essex Colleges Group supporting this and advocating for their success is just what the younger generation needs.”
